Proposed ways to enhance the effectiveness of the syndicate in the realization of its mission: protecting the industry, encouraging and supporting its individual members by solving some of their problems to strengthen their position in the domestic and export markets, enhancing quality to internationalstandards. Suggested subjects for research projects and seminars aiming at widening the views of industrialists towards global professional thinking in production and marketing. Visits international donor organizations to fund research projects and seminars and universities and colleges to relate their studies to specific industrial issues. Assists the international experts int heir missions on agrofood sector.
* Nov 2003: Prepared a project for the creation of a Dairy Board in Lebanon to be realized under the auspices of the American University of Beirut and financed by USAID.
* Oct 2003: Assisted the EU expert in the ElCIM-IMP Lebanon Project entitled" Dairy Sector in Lebanon" financed by the European Commission.
* Nov 2002-Dec 2002: Assisted the EU expert in the ElCIM-IMP Lebanon Project entitled "Les Appellations d'Origine Proteg�es" financed by the European Commission.

(2001-2004)
Determined the problems facing the dairy sector, proposed solutions and achieved consensus on some. Visited ministers lobbying for new regulations and legislation.


Member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer
(1995-2001)
Being the most experienced in NGOs among the board members of this newly formed syndicate:
*Was entrusted to write its bylaws, which were subsequently approved by the General Assembly and the Ministry of Labor.
* As the first treasurer, had to start-up an accounting system applicable to NGOs preparing reports that could be understood by all members. Had full responsibility over the syndicate's funds.
* Trained employees do the required accounting duties. Prepared periodic reports as well as year-end annual report and budget.
* Visited France in an official delegation headed by the minister of Industry to create cooperation with French associations and syndicates of food industrialists and distributors.
 

Industrialists, Traders and Craftsmen Association of the Industrial City of Baushrieh, Lebanon (ITCA).

Aimed to enhance cooperation between the some 1000 industrialists, traders and craftsmen owning mainly SMIs and working in 216 separate business fields, to create a better work environment by coordinating with public authorities and other associations of industrialists to enable them to focus on international standards and norms.
